To become a sweetheart…

You have to act real smart,
From the crowd to stand apart!

To prove that you are a stalwart,
And not just a pathetic upstart!

There will be many a sharp dart,
Aimed at puncturing your heart;

But such things form a part,
Of your moving up the chart;

It is best to have a good start,
Or you may just need to restart,

To relentlessly go on to thwart,
The actions of your counterpart.
