Up Up and away!

His dream was skyward,
But it ended up seaward!

Childhood plans aimed upward,
He wanted to spread outward;

Traveling would be his reward,
He did not care for any award!

He wished to be a steward,
But his habits were leeward;

And his movements awkward,
Pushed his career backward;

He was deeply hurt inward,
His enthusiasm went downward;

He should have moved onward,
He was an incorrigible coward;

He directed his ideas seaward,
And gave up all dreams skyward!
